1. What are the benefits of going to a private salon versus a large jewelry store?

Service - You will have 8 sales people, 2 gemologists, both in-house jewelers and designers, in-house appraisers and a private delivery person available for any of your jewelry needs.

Staff - All of our sales people have either owned or managed other jewelry operations in the past. You will be helped by professionals, not clerks nor mall or chain store sales people.

Privacy - Private showrooms are available for your discreet purchasing and selling needs. No one will be looking over your shoulder, and you will be seated not leaning over a counter.

Confidentiality - All sales, transactions, and clientele are held in the strictest confidence. If your name ever appears in the society column, it won't be because of us.

Security - Being on the third floor of the very secure Heritage Building in Highland Park Village, we have the safest environment in Dallas. Not only do we have in-house security, but we have qualified Highland Park Police Officers patrolling the village.

Selection - We have the largest selection of diamond estate and classic jewelry in the Southwest. You won't have to wait for us to get a piece for you to see; chances are, we will have it in our showcase.

Value - Our pricing is not indicative of a normal retail store. Pricing will range between wholesale and conservative retail.

2. Do I need an appointment?

Absolutely not. Our store hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, and also by appointment. Please feel free to come by and browse anytime.

3. How much do you charge for an appraisal?

If the jewelry was purchased from us, there is no charge to have an appraisal prepared. If not, the price would depend on how extensive an appraisal needs to be done. If a stone needs to be removed, weighed and graded, a minimum charge is assessed. If an insurance company requires GIA certification, it will need to be sent to GIA and they charge $400+. Also, appraisals for jewelry to be sold are complementary.

4. Where do I go to get jewelry insurance?

We have several carriers that we can recommend.

5. Do you take jewelry on consignment from your clientele?

We buy from our clientele as well as take jewelry on consignment. If the piece of jewelry meets our quality requirements, we will be interested in either purchasing it or consigning the piece. If it does not meet these requirements, we offer brokerage services to help you sell the piece.

6. Do you sell watches?

We sell both new and pre-owned watches. We are extremely competitive on our pricing and do this as a service for our clientele. We have every fine watch made available to us.

7. Do you do jewelry repairs?

We have an in-house jewelry repair department that assures that only the best jewelers touch your piece.

8. What will I experience if I go to a mall or freestanding jewelry store?

You will most likely have to stand over a counter in full view of people you would rather not know your personal business. The clerk helping you probably knows less about jewelry than you do. And because of the high cost of maintaining a mall or free standing store, you will pay the highest retail price on the market. Furthermore, the jewelry will not be of the best quality or design.
